Description:
Turn an ordinary tin box into an beautiful organizing tool for greeting cards or recipes. These customized tin boxes are pretty enough to display.
Required supplies:
- Continuous Glue Lines
- Mini Glue Dots
- Craft Glue Dots
- Fresh Prints II patterned paper; Deja Views
- Chipboard Alphas; Heidi Swapp
- Acrylic Flowers; Heidi Swapp
- Prima Flowers
- Tin box; Provo Craft
- Assorted, coordinating ribbons
Step-by-step instructions:
- Cut two, 2-1/2" x 12" strips of flowered paper for the center of the tin box.
- Apply Continuous Glue Lines to the back side of paper at the outer-most edges and apply to the front and back of the tin box, overlapping on the sides.
- Cut two, 3/4" x12" strips of striped paper and apply Glue Lines to the back. Position the strips under the box fastener on the front. Wrap the strips around to the back of the box and overlap their edges.
- Cut two, 1" x 12" strips of striped paper and adhere along the bottom edge of the tin box. Wrap the strips around to the back of the box and overlap their edges.
- Cut four, 5/8" 12" strips of coordinating paper and wrap around the tin box, covering the seams of previously applied patterned papers. Overlap the edges.
- Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the paper flowers along the top left strip of patterned paper.
- Adhere acrylic flowers and chipboard letter using Craft Glue Dots.
- Tie assorted, coordinating ribbons onto the handle.
