Description:
Suzanne used a colorful but minimalist layout to feature the sweet personality of her dog Zorro
Required supplies:
- Memory Book Glue Dots
- 1" Glue Lines
- Craft Glue Dots
- PDQ Kewel paper, 4-side A; Bisous
- Kewel chip letters; Bisous
- Kewel chip shapes; Bisous
- Small, multi-colored brads; Creative Impressions
- Black ink
- Black rick rack; Creative Impressions
- Purple stitch ribbon; Creative Impressions
- Polk-a-dot brad; Queen & Co.
- Black and purple cardstock for matting
- "Turkey Sandwich" font downloaded from Internet
Step-by-step instructions:
- Trim down a sheet of PDQ Kewel paper to 12 x 12".
- Mount photo onto black cardstock and trim. Repeat with purple cardstock and secure to layout using Memory Book Glue Dots.
- Journaling was printed using the computer onto colored backgrounds. Cut out journaling; ink the edges with black ink; and adhere to layout with Memory Book Glue Dots.
- Cut little pieces of black cardstock to make the plus signs and pop a brad through the centers. (Note: if you plan to use the back side of your paper, do not poke the brad through the layout. Instead use Glue Dots to glue the brad to the layout.)
- Use 1" Glue Lines to secure rick rack.
- Sand edges of chipboard letters and shapes and adhere with Craft Glue Dots.
- Bend large polk-a-dot brad edges back and secure to the layout with Craft Glue Dots.
- I've cut down the paper size 1/4" and mounted the layout onto a black piece of cardstock so it has a black boarder. Only do this if you do not plan to use the back side of the white paper for another layout
